Giftpres·ence

1 : the fact or condition of being present

So many of us are being showered with gifts on this day or giving gifts, maybe even upset because we did not receive any gifts.  Good old Christmas..  It seems to be soo much about these material gifts that we give to one another more than about being present to each other.  I know this does not go for everyone however it is something that seems to have lost its meaning for many.  My idea of a gift for Christmas has drastically changed since I was a child.  It has slowy moved from material to the inmaterial.  I guess what I am saying is that my interaction with people over the past year has led me to realize how much this end of the year celebration is to give thanks to all the precence’s that gave you the gift to be where your at this very moment in your evolution.

So to celebrate this year and completely give gratitude to the gift of presence in my life this past year I would like to say thank you to all those involved as you know whom you are.  Thank you for being of influence good and bad and encouraging me and or discouraging me and making me who I am today.  I will take this into hibernation with me as I go with in this winter and begin to play with my self and get ready for the spring.  So as you celebrate the birth of one of the greatest gifts and or presence this planet has been bestowed, think about how you can give the gift of your presence to someone next year. Have a Merry Christmas!

The Fall

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

Ahh.. The Fall time is almost past, as we do have so much to be grateful for.  Even if you resist the fall it still comes to takes away the dead moments of our lives that no longer serve us.  For some that resist it can be a terrible time their harvest will not be as bountiful as those who are seasoned and prepared for this moment in time.  Just like all things around us we too are apart of this cycle of nature and the seasons express the mighty hand of a God deeply laced into all things.

Another Question: Fear or Laziness?

Posted by: admin | Comments (0)

This is one of the greatest scenes from the movie Waking Life.  I have

Been asking myself this question for quite some time now.

einstein“How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he sometimes thinks he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people — first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving…

“I have never looked upon ease and happiness as ends in themselves — this critical basis I call the ideal of a pigsty. The ideals that have lighted my way, and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth. Without the sense of kinship with men of like mind, without the occupation with the objective world, the eternally unattainable in the field of art and scientific endeavors, life would have seemed empty to me. The trite objects of human efforts — possessions, outward success, luxury — have always seemed to me contemptible.

“My passionate sense of social justice and social responsibility has always contrasted oddly with my pronounced lack of need for direct contact with other human beings and human communities. I am truly a ‘lone traveler’ and have never belonged to my country, my home, my friends, or even my immediate family, with my whole heart; in the face of all these ties, I have never lost a sense of distance and a need for solitude…”
