From the author:
“a little animation project i started this past weekend, inspired by the wonderful music of Olafur Arnalds. the song is called Ljósið, and you can listen to it at: foundsongs.erasedtapes.com.”
On how he made it:
“i first imported the audio and set up 2 sounkeys layers, one for the piano and one for the strings. Then i worked the particles and the particle subsystem and linked things like the emission, the turbulence, the velocity, the spin amplitude and the strength of the fields to the soundkeys outputs. Then i set up the colors with 2 different palettes, and well, after that there was a lot of trial and error in order to achieve what i was looking for. There’s a lot of randomness involved in here, so there was also a lot of luck, of course.”

Green. Greener. Greenest.
Mayor Phil Gordon is aiming straight for the top in his ambitious call to make Phoenix the greenest city in the nation.
And why not?
The strategies that create an environmentally sound place – from expanding solar power to using water more efficiently – fit right into the region’s strengths and needs.
In his State of the City address last Wednesday, Gordon laid out a 17-point plan developed in conjunction with Arizona State University’s Global Institute of Sustainability.

The Venus Project presents a bold, new direction for humanity that entails nothing less than the total redesign of our culture. There are many people today who are concerned with the serious problems that face our modern society: unemployment, violent crime, replacement of humans by technology, over-population and a decline in the Earth’s ecosystems. Physicist develops battery using new source of energy
Researchers at the University of Miami and at the Universities of Tokyo and Tohoku, Japan, have been able to prove the existence of a “spin battery,” a battery that is “charged” by applying a large magnetic field to nano-magnets in a device called a magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ)
