GC Book Club:System of Self-Healing
Posted by: | CommentsThis book by Dr. Stephen T. Chang is amazing. This is a book to have with you for the rest of your life. The information in it is ancient and fits into the category of reflective. The Taoist way is very simple and they looked to nature for answers. This book is full of exercises that will get your energy going so much that you may want to take your time getting to know them all. They are fun and something that the whole family can do. I do the Directional exercises as much as I can and damn, talk about getting high naturally! My favorite thing about the exercises other than the fact that they are reflective of the kingdom of nature is that these exercises take imagination. Also as far as reps and time go, it is all up to you and how long you can sustain focus and imagination. So the more you do it the better you get the more you can do it. Its a built in reward system. Upon doing these exercises you will feel an instant effect on your energy. Over time if continued you will notice a true increase in strength without having to lift much. You will have monkey strength with chi to match. The Complete System of Self-Healing, a true must have and one of the greatest workouts I have ever experienced
Drugs?

What is it about drugs! Why do I do them? Do I need them? I wonder to myself about this. Sometimes when I am emotionally “out of control” I find refuge in them. Cigarettes, weed, alcohol etc… When I think about this deeply and while on drugs I realized that it is refuge back to my inner child. That place of non judgment and freedom. La, la, la. La, LAAAA.
I have realized that as a child I was on a permanent high and still emotional. The difference between then and now is that I became aware of myself socially and conformed to these pressures to act this way or that. Learning to conform put my child into a box and left him there. I use keys to get him out for a while to play. Those keys are drugs. I am great full for them they have allowed me visiting hours with my child enough to remember and assimilate. Just enough time to formulate a plan of escape. Thank you drugs. I will always remember you for your help. I am finding my way home.
GC Book Review: The Tao of Pooh
Posted by: | Comments
What an amazing book. A must read if you love Pooh and Taoism. Every since reading this book I have considered my self a Poohist. Oh might guru Pooh! lol. The book takes another look into the Winnie the Pooh character as well as his friends, Hyped Tigger, Wise Owl, Punctual Rabbit, meek Piglet, and the Depressing Eeyore. The age range can be for children from the ages of 8-100+. Very educational it makes you wonder if the whole story of Pooh and his friends was constructed around this Taoist out look on life. Each character reflecting an aspect of society. With Pooh in the middle simple and innocent like our inner child. He finds out how to get things done in the most peculiar of ways. I remember one time I was watching Pooh and he lost a hammer and he was trying to find it by laying out nails in order to lure it in! hahaha!! I love Pooh.

Also if your are interested in this book you might want to check out “The Te of Piglet” some what of a Sequel yet focused around Piglet and his meekness eventually turning out to fuel his courage. It is a metaphor for America and our up and coming Courageous stance!
